Hurulu Eco Park, Habarana
(3.9/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Famous for sheltering elephants and evergreen forests, Hurulu Eco Park enjoys protection as a designated biosphere reserve. Go on a jeep safari to encounter the majestic mammals up close, as well as a variety of birds and other native species. As you progress into the wild, take photographs of the remarkable scenery and absorb the serenity of the tropical environment. Refrain from panicking should you get too close to elephants--noise can upset them and lead to unnecessary clashes. Put Hurulu Eco Park into our Habarana tourist route planner to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Habarana.

  • Difficult seeing the indian elephants at first, but ended up seeing a whole family plus a leopard in a tree! Bumpy ride, but worth to see the beautiful nature of Sri Lanka.
  • What a great experience. Managed to get up close to several of these majestic beasts in their natural environment. Beautiful to see.
  • Best place to sight elephants during monsoon and can do some bird watching..I recommend to do a safari early in the morning or late in the evening.

  • You can watch natural habitat of elephants in this small park. No need to wait hours to see them. It will only take 2 hour to make a round on whole park. You can rent a 4WD from entrance of the park since the road conditions only suitable to 4WD off road vehicles within the park. Skilled drivers will take you on a adventures trip across the park. Definitely you will be able to see at least 10+ elephants There is a camping hut in middle of the park as well.
  • You can see only elephants and some kind of birds. On weekends really busy with hundreds of jeeps.which annoying to travel.
  • long walking distance.....wear a comfortable shoes....
  • A Best natural place
