  • Having done Little Adams Peak the previous day we were ready for the challenge. We paid a guide 1500 (our guesthouse owner) to take us. After walking along the tail ways we turned down an obscure litt...  more »
  • The last half hour climb dry and can be dangerous with sometimes slippery terrain. Beautiful ballad but not always easy. Attention d be well shod.

  • Amazing views, however be careful to pick the right path. Do not follow the main road out of the city and then turn right (we did this and regretted it shortly after starting). Instead follow the rail...  more »

  • A good advice: ask a guide to accompany you, since it’s easy to get lost. Don’t attempt to do the climb when it’s rainy, since the path can get slippery. The climb is quite demanding, so wear comfortable walking shoes. The view from the top is beautiful and the climb itself is a great activity. You get to see tea plantations, waterfalls, monkeys and local villagers. The first part of the walk - via the railway tracks - is already fun and suitable for most people.
  • Its an Awesome Hike and climb. It starts from the Ella Station, a walk along the station to the Rock and a Climb to get an Amazing View. A must if you love hiking. You will pass a river which is an awesome place to have a bath and rest.
  • A great place to visit!! Go early in the morning. There are few dogs there to guide you up. Take a water bottle.
  • You can get it by walking along the train tracks. The way is easy, but a bit long (the 2-ways trip is aprox 17 km). When the way in the train tracks finishes, don't trust the spontaneous "local guides", the trip in the mountain is easy and there're not cobras trying to bite you... telling that stories they will try to get Rs 1500-2500 from you
  • honestly, view is great at summit. From Kithel-Ella railway station u have to trek about one hour or maybe one and half our to the top. I was there 3rd weak of august,at summit there was a drizzle. So when we trek back to the down it was very slippery..especially want to say, there was a map in google which was very helpful to climb up at my first time, without getting lost. But mind that there also have more alternative ways to top of the rock.
