  • We have made ourselves without a guide with an Offlinemap on the way and have not regretted it. At the beginning you go over railroad tracks, through tea fields and then's will Rocky during the ascent to the Summit. The part until the increase is quite easy to walk, the climb it harder but outgoing was well within we for every hiker of the time in the mountains. We would rate it moderately difficult. Up there up on two different groups no other people, which one could easily find a solitary place. The view was really nice. And much more to enjoy than on the Little Adams peak. Be sure also to the second viewpoint go located further back behind the hut at the Summit. We would recommend can be early to break, because it first otherwise quite hot and the descent, several guides met with groups. We are going on at 8 o'clock, there was still good, would recommend but sooner. For the entire tour including photos and enjoy the view at the Summit we have used 3-4 hours. Anyone looking for something away from the masses should be high be sure!

  • All around solid hike to a breathtaking overlook. Even when overcast (like the day we hiked it), the view was fantastic. One of the best parts of the entire experience is the disproportionately awesome view for the relatively easy hike; you can really run up it (or down it) if you feel so inclined. Once at the top, the views partially obscured by passing clouds are some of the best we saw traveling through Sri Lanka.
  • Nice walk along the train tracks and good views from the top. Don’t expect to be alone up there and much sure you reach the summit before 10 or it will get too crowded and you might be unlucky and the top is covered in clouds. Wear appropriate shoes as it can get slippery. Views from the interim lookout are great as well after that expect to climb up the mountain for about 30min or so until you reach the top. Don’t get distracted by people leading you into the wrong direction and follow the path.
  • The best things are free, like this beauty. It is a nice hike up the mountain and through the forest to reach the Ella Rock. There are two View points which are little apart one from another, both have amazing views of the enclosing mountains and also ella town. Depending on the weather carry warmer clothes, too. It can be cold and windy up there.
  • Quite a hike. Better to carry water. At the top of mountain, there is a uncle with water bottles and tea. But it is costly. There are 3 viewpoints. Don't miss one. Ask Uncle at the top for directions.
  • Tough hike. If you are a normal non-hiker like me, be prepared: wear proper shoes. You know you are halfway there when you find a small but selling drinks. Bad news: the hike gets tough after that. The best view is not from the top, but halfway to the top after the resting hut.
