Check out the much-lauded textiles at Barefoot, a shop established by Sri Lankan designer Barbara Sansei. Renowned for her vibrant, hand-woven fabrics, Sansei's creations include bedsheets, tablecloths, and other home decor, as well as quality clothing items with striking geometric designs. The thoughtfully laid-out store also features locally made crafts and a bookshop. Afterwards, admire the artworks in the gallery and relax in the courtyard cafe. • Lonely Planet, as any other guide marked it as one of the stores has visit. It is through the roof in terms of reviews and assessment. You enter, it is decorated in a more Western way, with local products at prices estratosfericos. They have some interesting product, but it continues to be one shop again, with a little more refined product Sri Lankeses designs. If you wait to buy all the details and gifts there prepare to leave you a lot of money. Personally, I found other stores with better selection of items at much more competitive prices (and I am not speaking of the typical stops/shops with all the same products in plan Bazaar).

  • Super super place to shop woven fabrics, hand-painted træting, clothes and toys, as well as the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal in the idyllic courtyard.

  • Strolling on noisy hot Street, casually looked here and found herself in a fairy tale! This is not a banal souvenir shop, a studio-quality hand-made household goods: utensils, bath accessories, tablecloths and towels made of natural fabrics, decorative elements, soft toys, books, postcards, ... Eyes run up and want to take with you everything:)

  • Nice shop below average food. The shop is very nice and has a wide range of souvenirs, books, wood carvings, clothes and so on. The products in the shop are beautiful and the quality seems OK for the price. We had lemon juice and iced tea in the nice café which where good but the food options are the typical western tourist stuff, sandwich and so on. Would not eat there.
  • Good lively ambience.. good place to meet up with your peeps.. serves beer and no cocktail options. Friendly services.
  • If you need to buy cotton sarongs and good books this is the place to visit. They have a good collection clothing made from local handlooms. A upmarket shop.
  • Spent a lovely Sunday lunchtime here. Listening to live jazz music and al fresco dining. The shop sells lovely handmade gifts and household items; well worth a visit.
  • Very good place for beer & snack! Too bad it closes too early... Staff is very nice!
