One of the best botanical gardens in the country. So far this is the newest in its kind. The Lake located at the centre of the park gives an amazing experience which cannot be explained in words. Anybody goes there for sure will love the landscape and the way every attraction is layed out. Well maintained park with lots of places to stay and relax. Definitely recommended!

Great park for all ages. Good stop and sit to have lunch or a snack on a beautiful sunny day. This park has lots of tourists from all walks of life, every where in the world. Great park for photos and videos. Overall awesome park for everyone

Visited on a weekend with couple of families. Not like other botanical gardens in Sri Lanka, there are no full of flowers and still you can enjoy the nature. Lots of rare plants and trees all the way up to the top. Around the botanical garden walking is bit tired, but make to feel the nature. Or you can lay down somewhere and relax. You have enough parking at the entrance. Only at the entrance you can find a shelter, along with a small cafeteria. You have limited options of food and beverages. You can go for boat rides the artificial lake, for photography.

Traveling from Colombo would take approximately one and half hours to two hours, and may differ depending on the level of traffic and the day you travel. Drive to the location would be a partly a comfortable drive, where the roads and perfect with carpeted roads, the last bit of the road leading to the park is a bit of bumpy ride. However, does compensate with the view of the surrounding. The best would be the walk that you could do up a hill, getting the chance to see many varieties of trees, and many species of birds. If interested in seeing birds, then i would advice anyone to visit the place at a time where there a less people in the park like a weekday, and early as possible. This is a ideal place for the photo shoot. Many couples came here for pre-shoot. The park provides the transport for reasonable fee. But I feel walking is the best option then you will not miss the nice seen.

Great place to visit for relaxing and to skim through the nature. Not much trees and verities yet. But a very good and well maintained environment.
