At first we think it as an activity to fill a gap in the plan, and at the end we had to take other things because it took us more time than we thought, because we loved it. The friendliness of the staff and their willingness to please are above the average. A highly recommended visit.

The truth is that it is entertaining travel by the excavated part of the city of reccopolis, as well as the explanation of the different cultures that have passed through it. You can not make the stop at reccopolis, especially if you go with children, you will love.

With the visible remains and the explanations of the guides, you are aware of how it was life during the Visigoth and Muslim. Unfortunately keep / recuparar our historical heritage need investment and does not seem to like us putting our money into culture and prefer football or cups.
Little it speaks of this Visigothic city in comparison with other more known... and well worth visiting it. It is enough of what was and hopefully can continue digging and getting more. Almost obligatory visit with the Guide since, unfortunately, and due to lack of budget, explanatory panels are damaged or broken and they are changing them.
Good place to visit with guide
I put 2 by putting something... for the price which is paid... first woman us cobra puts us a movie and if longer he is us turn off the luz.no introduces us to the story. To ask them popcorn and drinks refrecantes. At this time there are no guides... and upon reaching the remains archaeological signs and old are indicative or not reported at all.
Although the schedule of visits is that shown on the web should call before to confirm the schedules of guided tours. Anyway you can visit for free, and gets enough information after seeing a video guide that shipped with the input and explanatory. And of course Wikipedia. In the visitor centre there is a small museum that explains the history and the Park. The pieces are all reproductions, but it is irrelevant because it is not the most important of the Park. They are the ruins of Reccopolis (or at least one part, is apparently still buried as much as 90%) and the castle of Zorita and other remnants of the area, as the remains of an aqueduct that's out there. The castle of Zorita is you can walk from the visitor center traveling the same route that followed Reccopolis stones when moved with carts to build Zorita. The site is fantastic without any doubt, but once more close not is managing the castle of Zorita is likely to find it closed, opens a time depending on scheduled visits. Will be that someone work more than necessary and tired. I will never understand why close to the public these things that have been open hundreds of years and where there is nothing. This is something increasingly common, as it is to charge five euros (in this case, three reduced input that is not as symbolic when a family has to multiply by four or five or whatever) to see a pile of stones that lead there centuries. Thus children soon learn that here paid for everything, to know their own history. The only thing that gets this (close, collect) is away to the public of their own past and cause you to lose interest in visiting this kind of things when you see them go because "we have to pay", "will be closed"...
Very nice if you take imagination. The wonderful natural surroundings at the Vega del Tajo
