  • The central market is located in a modernist building, iron frame, very close to the Plaza del Pilar, on the back, therefore in the city centre, and close to the ruins Roman. The interior feels that this old, with posts of differing qualities of the product and which can be improved.

  • It was built between 1895 and 1903, and was to replace the old market of the city running outdoors. The charge was the architect Félix Navarro Pérez, who was inspired by Les Halles in Paris. It's a market of supply for inhabitants of the city and not the tourism-oriented.

  • Guaranteed fresh goods available on the Mercado Central! Toller market in the beautiful building. Fruit and vegetables, meat, and especially the fresh fish are recommended for self catering!

  • Very nice market architecture in iron that goes back to the industrial revolution. It should observe the construction details and enjoy the spatial and urban design with which it was designed.

  • Large number of jobs, bad access in your own vehicle, needs urgent reform.

  • A good variety of products. The building is beautiful.

  • It is more a market district that something that looks like the markets in other large cities such as Barcelona, Valencia, Santiago and not say San Sebastian. Zaragoza maybe aren't willing to pay a little more for a better quality of products. However, worth sige existing jobs that surprise you.

Where to stay in Zaragoza

When visiting this historical city, most visitors opt to stay in the old quarter, or Casco Viejo, for its convenient proximity to many of the city's iconic landmarks and compact network of local eateries, shops, and traditional architecture. The old quarter is located along the Ebre River meaning that you are only a scenic waterfront stroll away from the rest of the city's buzzing neighborhoods. Several newer hotels are located in the commercial zone centered around Gran Via, one of the city's main arteries, where plenty of shops and well-known restaurants line the buzzing streets. Alternatively, head to the University district for a mix of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and a vibrant nightlife, where accommodation tends to be a bit cheaper.
