  • Good experience to share. Access to excavations with the possibility to attend a video with installations. You can still see the cloaca, the foundations of the square of the Roman basilica and forum above. To see

  • Located under the ground in the square of our Lady of the pillar - there are remains of the Forum and the sewer he had in Roman times. There is much information on the history of the city and the 1200 they put a film describing the importance of the city and the river. The entry includes the Forum, baths, Roman Theatre, river port and Museum Pablo Gargallo - €6.

  • Wow, what a grand presentation of this historical site. Very impressive underground museum showing both remains of the Roman Forum and archaeological finds from the dig up.
  • Well presented ruins in the middle of Zaragoza. Gives a good sense of the origins of the city along with daily life during Roman rule. Plan on 2 or so hours to see the four sites. Only negative is that the video presentations were Spanish only.
  • Visually stunning exterior at night.
  • The city has gone to considerable expense to expose it's Roman past. This site is one of 4 in the neighborhood. Very much worthwhile seeing if you're interested in the Roman past.
  • Get the five museum option for 9E (four of Roman period) and go see them all!

Where to stay in Zaragoza

When visiting this historical city, most visitors opt to stay in the old quarter, or Casco Viejo, for its convenient proximity to many of the city's iconic landmarks and compact network of local eateries, shops, and traditional architecture. The old quarter is located along the Ebre River meaning that you are only a scenic waterfront stroll away from the rest of the city's buzzing neighborhoods. Several newer hotels are located in the commercial zone centered around Gran Via, one of the city's main arteries, where plenty of shops and well-known restaurants line the buzzing streets. Alternatively, head to the University district for a mix of eclectic shops, quaint cafes, and a vibrant nightlife, where accommodation tends to be a bit cheaper.
