Museo Catedralicio, Zamora

4.2
#1 of 6 in Historic Sites in Zamora
One of the best examples of Spanish Romanesque architecture, the walls and gates of Museo Catedralicio have stood since the 12th century. Take a close look at the choir stall carvings, depicting saints and vivid scenes of country life. Numerous tombs are tucked inside the cathedral, some with delicate filigree carvings. Apart from the main chapel, nave, and apses, there is a display case housing sacred artifacts, and halls adorned with over twenty tapestries. Beautiful and original building on the outside. The inside I do not liked, but to taste the colors. Visit with audio guide costs €5 per way, something heavy. The landscaping of the little care cloister. It caught my attention the altar of silver that is not located on the main altar. You can see from behind which is very strange. The wood work around the access door to the Cathedral is also very curious.

The dome of the Cathedral is worth but to see it they charge you €5, since the only option is to pay the ticket that includes a visit to the Museum in addition to the Cathedral, and give you an unbearable audioguide is only understandable for experts in architecture and that also leverage to catechize the visitors.

Tiny but essential and very charming. The Cathedral Museum presents real gems of sculpture, as well as valuable tapestries and other important parts. The audio guide provided with the entry would be more useful if it were more informative

A place with so much to see. All very well maintained. They offer telematics guides that accompany both the Museum and the Cathedral.

It is a beautiful Cathedral, visit worthwhile even though it is a little expensive. It has very nice areas. The only negative of the visit are the audio guides, go into too much detail and they end up resulting in boring.
