Cathedral of Zamora, Zamora
(3.9/5 based on 380 reviews on the web)
One of the best examples of Spanish Romanesque architecture, the walls and gates of Cathedral of Zamora have stood since the 12th century. Take a close look at the choir stall carvings, depicting saints and vivid scenes of country life. Numerous tombs are tucked inside the cathedral, some with delicate filigree carvings. Apart from the main chapel, nave, and apses, there is a display case housing sacred artifacts, and halls adorned with over twenty tapestries.
