Cathedral of Zamora, Zamora

(4.3/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
One of the best examples of Spanish Romanesque architecture, the walls and gates of Cathedral of Zamora have stood since the 12th century. Take a close look at the choir stall carvings, depicting saints and vivid scenes of country life. Numerous tombs are tucked inside the cathedral, some with delicate filigree carvings. Apart from the main chapel, nave, and apses, there is a display case housing sacred artifacts, and halls adorned with over twenty tapestries. • It is worth visiting it, it's beautiful. You must enter by the side of the Cathedral, a Museum and pay 5 euros. It is worth. I was delighted. You can not miss it. Take advantage and visit the castle which is on the side

  • Although it is a quick tour and not many things are explained thoroughly, it is very nice to see the Cathedral at night. Ideal if it is complemented by the visit during the day. It serves the same input.

  • Visit it with detail, admire its treasures and its dome is worth. I recommend visiting the chapel of San Bernardo and admire the imposing image of the Cristo de las Injurias. Highlight the Virgin of la Calva and tables of Fernando Gallego. And not miss the Cathedral Museum and the impressive and unique Flemish tapestries. I recommend to visit the chapel of Santiago, which has just been opened to the public.
