  • I guess that the visit will be better if you do a guided tour, but if you can't (as in my case) and do a normal visit... better not pay to enter. Although the views of the place on the outside they are nice, but not worth making a trip for this.

  • I'll be back, I promise you. Great monastery, a Romanesque jewel located in an environment like no other. Although you can not visit the new monastery, residence of the monks of closing, or the old whose ruins have become hotel, the crypt and the Church are worth by itself alone. If you have luck and your guide is Eva visit will be memorable. We also decided to take a stroll through the mountain and went to the fountain of Virila, quite suitable and simple route. About 50 minutes back and forth along a path and with magnificent views of the monastery and the Yesa reservoir.

  • The monastery is impressive. It is worth to take the guided tour that is €3.5. Our guide was Eva, very attentive and passionate in their work. He explained to us everything we saw in detail. To repeat.

  • It is worth visiting it, although we do not agree with schedules of monastic worship, simply, by the gorgeous views that since it dealt with.

  • Exceptional natural environment welcomes the historic monastery of Leyre. Benedictine monks watch over and preserve the genuine Gregorian chant in Spain. Excellent hostelry.
