  • The Souto da Retorta is one of those places that deserve a visit, even if you have already left dozens of times, as in my case. If you leave the car next to the factory of Chavín, you will enjoy a relaxing walk along the promenade known as "dos namorados", flowing parallel to the river Landro and the canal built by José Barro for the electric use of your company. Eucalyptus trees of this place were planted between 1880 and 1912 to aid in drainage of the low grounds waterlogged by Brooks from the Landro. All of them include a eucalyptus variety globulus, known as "O Avô" (grandfather). While not exemplary higher of this set, it is the most outstanding by its thickness and for being the oldest of this spot. It was planted in 1880, it reaches 67 meters of height and 10.5 m of perimeter in its base. It is considered the largest of Spain tree. After seeing the th, we will continue our ride to the mini power station where there is a small waterfall. Years ago, behind the central had two falls that came from the overflow of the superior canal, but have gone to the same fix to keep running the central. If you follow the upper canal will take you to a beautiful waterfall, but it is recommended to go without niñ@s. Perfect place to escape and contact with nature.

  • This great, went for a walk and see the tree more large. But it was all so beautiful and conveyed so much peace that we stayed there walking and talking a good time. I really liked and certainly recommend it to spend some quiet time walking through nature

  • "Souto da Retorta", this is a place full of giant eucalyptus trees that impress. We went through a pedestrian walkway through which runs the river Landro, of about 5 minutes until you reach the oldest eucalyptus in Europe. Is cool and make the walk and contemplate the giant eucalyptus.

  • A simple and flat path by a lush forest of eucalyptus trees, suitable for all audiences. They were 25 minutes of ida and 25 back, at a quiet pace of ride. There is not much room to leave the car. Beware the location of Google maps, because no takes you to the area where the road begins, but directly to the tree (which you Deià in the middle of a road).

  • Very easy walk beside the River with impressive eucalyptus trees. Suitable for all, even for wheelchair access. Don't go if you're in the vicinity of Viveiro.
