Parque de la Florida, Vitoria-Gasteiz

The largest park in the city, Parque de la Florida was built in 1820 and features an English-style design. The pathways wind through various plants and trees, including redwoods, Lebanon cedars, and willows. The most well-known tree is a 100-year-old walnut tree. Running water can be found in fountains and waterfalls. Keep an eye out for the small Japanese garden and four statues of Visigoth kings. Don’t leave without visiting the culture house's exhibits and the library. Parque de la Florida is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Vitoria-Gasteiz Edition.

A quiet Park, next to the new Cathedral. Manicured gardens, places to relax al fresco and tranquility

Road from hotel to old town and various monuments, every day crossed it and discovered something new. You have well differentiated spaces according to the type of activity we do. All the trees have at least one description of its name and the region that come from.

  • It's the biggest and the more beautiful park in Vitoria. Some years ago, the ice rink whas there. It was very beautiful, with form of a donut. I think, you can pass a very good time with the friends there.
  • Last visit : August 2014 Beautiful place to go for a walk, there are many beautiful sculptures there. The scenery there is wonderful, there are different plants and the garden is located in the center of city, close to the main tourist attractions, historical places, restaurants and shops.
  • The Florida park is a good park were you can go for walk with your family. There's a river where you can throw a coin to make a wish. In Christmas they put a very big and beautiful Jesus Birth.
  • It's a very beautiful park and very tipical in Vitoria and it has got lot of plants.
  • This park is surrounded by busy roads, but somehow 50m from the main road, it was pretty quiet at the cafe in the park. The cafe was sometimes way too busy though, so pick your time, or go elsewhere. The park itself offers a busy, but green, escape from the city. Nothing too sensational, but it was a lovely place to have a quiet, and cool, beer on a very hot afternoon (after 50 miles of cycling). A bit too small to be much of a place to visit on its own for the park.
