  • It is a very striking sculpture, by its height, and its location in the Centre of the city. Well preserved and cared for, it is an attractive point for a photo with her. In carnivals or festivals they disguised it.

  • It became a icon and in fact is a copy of a statue of Alberto Giacometti. It seems unoriginal and not to mention the embarrassment when they dress up as him any stupidity.

  • Strolling through the streets of Vitoria and after a stopover in one of its most emblematic pastry shop, a few meters you find the image of a tremendous Walker.

  • If you're visiting Vitoria then this street is one of the must visits. Here you will find artworks by Basque Artists on public display! Shops and bars. It's a safe street for parents with young children.
  • El caminante is a bronze sculpture made by Juan Jose Eguizabal in 1985. It is 3.5m high.
  • Vitoria Walker is a bronze sculpture of about 3 metres and medium high, is the figure of a man very thin and high, representing a person who comes walking the city and likes both that stays there. It is an emblematic monument of Vitoria-Gasteiz, which was created in 1985 by the artist Juan José Eguizábal. This particular figure is located in the Plaza of the Ark, the heart of the city. The work was initially made in fiberglass and polyester but in 1989 became a bronze to withstand more over the years. Make the children very much since it looks a lot like a very tall and the aspect that has is that of a modern and young guy. Most of the people who make tourism the city, passes through here to take off a couple of photos with this sculpture.
