Has been restored and is still working on it? It is now open to the cult and in addition to the celebrations, is a large auditorium for concerts, since it has great sound quality. No ha sido la típica visita a una catedral, de esas que te parecen iguales unas a otras. La visita guiada se realiza desde el punto de vista arquitectónico. The guided tour is done from the architectural point of view. The guide told us the history of the Cathedral with its architectural problems, how evolved these and the restoration. Visit from the crypt to the Bell Tower, and the truth, I have not bored even for a moment. I recommend it completely.
One of the must places in Vitoria. Different perspective on a historic building. Even if you don't like history and art, go there. It is worthy
Loved the tour with the visit to the tower. Fascinating to learn about the renovation work they've done over the last 20 years and the discoveries they made as a result.
Very nice cathedral. Due to the re-construction you have to book the guided tour in advance. English available. You get to see the foundation of the building and get to know a lot about the town's early history as well. Bird's eye view from the bell tower. Narrow staircases not for the faint hearted. Knowledgeable and informative guide with excellent English.
Marvelous place and wonderful views from the tower!
We got a very interesting tour in the Cathedral of Santa María de Vitoria. It was very unique, as I have never been in a cathedral wearing a helmet :) It created a special atmosphere ;) Interesting story, nice view and a digital surprise in the end of the tour :) I loved it!
