Tazones, Villaviciosa

4.3
#1 of 11 in Things to do in Villaviciosa
Soak up the atmosphere of the charming fishing village of Tazones. As you wander its colorful streets, look for the shell-covered house and historic lighthouse. Play archeologist as you search for the genuine dinosaur footprints in the quarry near the beach. Fossils are not the only reason Tazones' beach is historically significant. King Charles V is said to have stepped on Spanish soil for the first time here when acquiring his new kingdom in 1517. Sample the catch of the day and sip some of the local cider in one of Tazones' many seafood restaurants. Put Tazones and other Villaviciosa attractions into our Villaviciosa trip planner , and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Since already many years ago two times annually we spent by bowls, we go through the port, the cetárea, a good appetizer-based andaricas, squid and to eat rice with bugre this fable. To highlight his church at the top of the village, its port, its small beach, the views and the famous House of shells, original and fun for the kids.

  • A charming seaside village, nestled in complete peace of mind when you visit during the winter months. A short walk through the streets will allow you to lose yourself in a fabulous maze of houses and stone walls, built in the typical style of Asturias. Among the many interesting attractions, a home decorated from top to bottom with all kinds of shells and a small beach where (according to a monument that recalls the event) the ship of Charles V found refuge during a bad storm. Typical, picturesque and rich in history, Tazones is the perfect place for those who want to immerse themselves in peace in Asturian culture.

  • The very beautiful and picturesque place situated in a small harbour and village of sierra, several restaurants specialized in seafood from the Cantabrian Sea. But to my mind a little expensive. Very tourist so recommend go in days during the week as is concentrated in lis weekend and parking is not available

  • Very picturesque. Very much like an old Cornish fishing village
  • What a spot!
  • Charming fishing village. Magnificent site to taste the delicacies of the sea to the plate, going through kitchens expert. In short, a Pearl that you should not miss.
