Tazones, Villaviciosa

(4.3/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Soak up the atmosphere of the charming fishing village of Tazones. As you wander its colorful streets, look for the shell-covered house and historic lighthouse. Play archeologist as you search for the genuine dinosaur footprints in the quarry near the beach. Fossils are not the only reason Tazones' beach is historically significant. King Charles V is said to have stepped on Spanish soil for the first time here when acquiring his new kingdom in 1517. Sample the catch of the day and sip some of the local cider in one of Tazones' many seafood restaurants. • We went there not expecting much but it was a great visit with lovely atmosphere and lovely food, the best we had eaten in Asturias.  more »
  • We went to visit this beautiful village of the Asturian Coast that maintains its traditional charm. While it is true that we went to a time and a date in which there is too much people for what we enjoyed a super ride. However, I think that to eat on holiday and with good time must be difficult both as being.

  • Beautiful village sailor of the Asturian Coast, has several restaurants in which to eat fresh fish, seafood and rice dishes. I recommend parking above and get stepped on the path parallel to the road.

  • A very tourist and place worth seeing, although a hand of paint would not come you not bad, the poor state of the same lackluster the tourist attraction of the enclave. City Council and businesses in the area (restaurants) should bet more on that aspect, the site is worth it.
