  • It was built between 1882 and 1884 by the architect Jeroni Granell to order from Víctor Balaguer, who made the charge in gratitude for the support that took the city in his political career. At the entrance to the main building include sculptures of two outstanding vilanovines: Archbishop Francisco Armañá and poet Manuel de Cabanyes. Its interior boasts the art gallery with works by Rubens, Goya, El Greco, Rusiñol, Carborell, among others. In addition there is an Egyptian collection with a small Mummy donated by Eduard Toda, an archaeological, Eastern, Filipino and pre-Columbian collection. Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 10 to 14 and from 17 to 20 and Thursday from 10 to 14 days. The value of the entry is 4 euros. Fact: you can buy a joint ticket that includes the Museo Balaguer, the romantic Museum and the Railway Museum for 10 euros (if you pay by separate paid 14 euros).

  • This museum is located on the Avenue of the same name, 300 metres from the train station. Inside, it keeps a good collection of paintings and sculpture including their large library

  • This small museum exceptional esverdaderamente. The 19th century building was constructed for its role in Museum and library, in the time in which the rich were illustrated. Its exterior is an eclectic harmony, right next to the train and bus station. Inside is a small museum in minimalist version "English cut": works of El Greco, Goya, Rubens, Sorolla and works loaned by El Padró with Bourbon and Hapsburg, an Egyptian Mummy, Philippine art and other distant pa´ses, 20th century works and works of local authors , and the spectacular library. A minimalist gem.

  • I went out not to bawl my head an infinite sadness. Fortunately, from 19 to 21 do not pay. Miserable consolation

  • A gorgeous, safe Museum located in another larger population, and with the proper advertising, would have queues at the gate. Meeting of works of different artistic fields, very interesting, perfectly exposed and an incredible quality. Do not miss it.

  • A small museum. But as it is nice and snug. In a small town there are people who leave on the memory.

  • A great place to ... To see great works of all time, a good way to introduce children to the universal culture of the art. ..

  • A visit is essential. Interesting collection of Catalan art from the 19th and 20th centuries, and contemporary art. The curiosity to find a mummy is also a reason to visit.
