  • Estw Zoo is a place full of nature and much of rural tourism in the area, the truth is that all these areas for the family and the small is interesting to visit these places and make a connection with nature

  • Vigo Zoo is a site anchored at the time as not to able to grow and adapt to a big city is vigo. Site is bad but is a site very simple and without grace, should it undergo a good reform to the level of other zoos, and that animals can be seen from a closer position and become a more participatory activity.

  • Vigo Zoo is to date the only grounds which can be called thus in Galicia, and that is its greatest merit. After languishing for many years and have been absolutely obsolete, in the past 10 years has been restored gradually (as the financial circumstances, have allowed them since it is of municipal ownership) and adapted in fits and starts with the current rules. Although has with some points of interest, as the Nocturama (enclosure in which is can see in environment night species that of day is show inactive) and an Exotarium (enclosure in where is can see a broad repertoire of Arachnids, insects, reptiles and Lepidoptera), the greater part of the surface is quite rácana and only the presence of certain species awake the interest of the public (Lions) (, Tigers, wallaby, euorpeo Lynx and red...) the rest of the collection enough leaves to be desired. Special mention for the negative to their two grizzly bears. The only merit of his exhibition is that they keep alive an animal in serious danger of extinction in Galicia and in the Iberian Peninsula, since one of the copies hardly it is able to wander about a problem in a rear leg (which has been operated) and the other repeats again and again the same route in a recite that it comes clearly small.

  • What a great little Zoo! Although a bit out of the way up in the hills, there are two city buses that go there and it's an easy drive (about 20-30 minutes from the city centre - taxi would be an option for some). Ignore reviews saying it's dear / caro - it's €5 per adult and run by volunteers. This is good value and the money supports their work and the animals (not cheap). London Zoo is nearly 4 times this amount for an adult as a comparison. There are many animals to see, including large ones such as lions, tiger, grizzly bears, zebra and black panther as well as many smaller ones, birds and a number of 'houses' including a noctural one, reptiles and butterflies in the summer. Although a smaller zoo we spend many hours there on a quiet weekday and moreorless had the animals to ourselves. There are fantastic views of the Ria and Vigo, Cangas and Moana from the Zoo throughout and also an excellent lookout and small forest picnic park just outside the main entrance. The Zoo facilities are well kept and the cafe is simple but serviceable for a light bite and a good coffee or something stronger. Well worth a visit.
  • I WANT TO READ THIS COMMENT. Great place, great variety of animals. When I and my family are going we had very well although we have already visited it several times. It's fun and we always see for quite a while to lemurs. They are lots of fun! There are many negative reviews about this place but my I love but they are not all the animals and this old. Actually we are going to the zoo to be a time in family, have fun and see animals that do not exist in Spain or not we can have at home. Perhaps you have at home a lion or Panther? Is that nothing will change in this cruel world, but I hope you liked this comment. :-) Please if si os gusto you liked this comment give you hand up and answer me.

  • Cheap and perfect for a quiet day with young children to my 6-year-old girl he loves, we are thinking of doing the family bond by a year.

  • A very well maintained Center. Overcome past stages, now fewer animals are but there are well looked after. Highly recommended to visit family. With big city Zoos comparisons are odious.
