A nice museum about everything related to the life in and with the sea. All texts are in Spanish and Galician, so not much worth to go there if you speak neither of them. Also the location at the sea side is great and the view you can enjoy without paying for the museum.
Javier JACIt is a lovely place, for what it's worth a coffee pass me two hours watching the history of the sea is caught as it was and its preserves, also has a beautiful aquarium with some species of what fishing at sea, also in topics navigation and marine biology. Wonderful people and litter throughout the Museum as if you were at home, sure that kids and adults will love. The Museum of the sea of Galicia, located at the tip of O Muiño in Alcabre, was born with the intention of making a site dedicated to the sea. It is an ambitious cultural and scientific project opened in June 2002 and designed by the Italian architect Aldo Rossi and the Galician César Portela. Up to six parties can be distinguished: the garden; a set of five refurbished ships; a cobbled square, which allows communication between the beaches; a building of the new plant, built on the boundary of a plot reclaimed; a port in which is located the Aquarium; a lighthouse; and the sea that surrounds the building. The Museum differentiates an initial free area, where the visitor comes into contact with the sea, and the permanent exhibition of payment, focused on the economic and social history of the development of the Galician fishing industry, covering sections on extraction, preservation and commercialization of fishery products. It also has an aquarium, showing the ecosystems of the Galician rias, and an archaeological site. The vestiges of this site tell us about holdings of fishery resources already since prehistoric times, thread conductor of the permanent exhibition of the Museum.
