  • I am not going to say anything that not has been written here about what one can find in this extraordinary Church and which is well worth a visit. I just want to congratulate the Guide, which explains everything in detail with a thorough understanding of the history and elements of the building by 2 euros per person.

  • The Church of Santa Maria is the most notable of Wamba (Valladolid) and well worth a visit. It is a Romanesque building from the 12th century, that maintains the headboard with his murals Mozarabs of the 10th century. The columns of the nave is topped with very original historiated capitals. However, the most striking of the enclosure is his ossuary, which brings together thousands of skulls, from the monastery rising annex to the temple. As you can see I I saw, as I see you see, warns a sign

  • Is dedicated to Santa Maria de la O and is famous for its charnel-house, you can see on the same day as the Church of San Cebrián de Mazote, because they are separated by only 20 Kms. It is a church mozarab from the 10th century with a Romanesque façade and late Romanesque interior with a wooden ceiling and great and magnificent columns with a few precious capitals. He was a Cistercian Monastery which was the seat of the order of Malta. In a small room of the cloister is what everyone asks the famous OSSUARY of WAMBA with bones and skulls resting on the walls of more than 1,500 people, according to the guide in the past had more than doubled, but they have disappeared. The entrance costs €1.5 and guide is great.

  • The church is large and imposing, and is prominent when viewed from the top of other buildings. Unfortunately, it was closed and we not able to view the interior.
  • Very nice
