#1 of 14 in Museums in Valladolid
Housed inside the Colegio de San Gregorio, Museo Nacional de Escultura contains an array of sculptures dating from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Wooden polychrome pieces, which come mainly from convents, donations, and state acquisitions, figure prominently in the collection. You can usually only admire these pieces from a distance at Spain’s churches and cathedrals, but here you can inspect their intricate details up close. From the outside the cathedral, admire the intricate facade of the 15th-century Colegio de San Gregorio. With our custom trip planner, Valladolid attractions like Museo Nacional de Escultura can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Last week a Japanese friend came to visit me and I took him to see the Museum. We liked it very much. And the staff was very friendly with us. I recommend it

  • For my best of Valladolid, architecture, content and facilities. The general rate is €3 (but there are numerous discounts for many groups and associations) and with it you can visit the main building, de Pimentel Palace with its beautiful Neapolitan Nativity scene and the House of the Sun with artistic reproductions. It is worth seeing the beautiful cloister, decorations wooden ceilings and of course original works of religious themes of Berruguete, Juan de Juni and Gregorio Fernández, Pedro de Mena, among others. There is a section of steps of Holy week, which remains closed at this time and previously for mounting steps that accompanying since Sunday's well raised, worthy of any major European city and modern National Museum Ramos.Un
