Campo Grande, Valladolid

4.6
#1 of 101 in Parks in Castile and Leon
Stroll among cypress trees, fountains, flowers, and herds of tame peacocks at Campo Grande, the expansive park and botanical garden in the center of Valladolid. Take in the many bronze statues and go for a leisurely walk around the pond, where you can feed the geese, ducks, and fish. Families might enjoy a boat ride with a boatman who tells interesting stories as he rows along. There's also an extensive playground with jungle gyms and several different sections. Thanks to the three aviaries, you'll find pheasants, roosters, and pigeons in addition to the famous peacocks. Avid readers will enjoy the small library complete with sitting area. The park is well connected by bus and just a five-minute walk from Plaza Mayor. To visit Campo Grande on your trip to Valladolid, use our Valladolid vacation planner.

  • This Park can be considered the "lungs of the city" is the main green area of Valladolid and place where you can observe various birds, including the artificial lake with swans and ducks. It's a relaxing place where you can also practice race.

  • We have visited several times in large field and she has always loved to see the variety of birds that... just inside were last week and we could see that the peacocks have their plumage colors... A wonder to see them! It's great to go with kids or a quiet stroll. It is very, very well maintained. I recommend it

  • A beautifully maintained park with thick foliage providing shelter from the sun. There are numerous sculptures and small art works around. Kids will have fun watching many peacocks, other birds, fish and turtles.
  • Very nice, but the romantic style does not leave any grass flat space to sit or rest.
  • Valladolid's most famous park. Great place to relax for the afternoon.
  • Nice architectural place)))
  • Nice place, perfect for people-watching.
