  • The Palace is the seat of the Generalitat of Valencia. I've been on site at the end of the year and was open to visit (some rooms). Built in the 15TH century, the Palace is very beautiful, it's worth the visit. Oh ... and it's free!

  • We went ahead Friday evening and we liked, but we didn't know that he could enter. The next day we saw putting open day and took the opportunity to enter to see what could be: the hall with a Christmas tree and a few posters and emojis large carton to take pictures and upload them to social networking and a room with a crib.

  • Asked me to leave my back pack hanging on a hook in a public gallery. Seriously?? If you want me to give up my bag to enter provide somewhere secure to leave it!  more »

  • Imposing government building in classic Valencian style, overlooking the main square of the old town. In the beautiful courtyard they are often housed more or less interesting art exhibitions and special occasions are organized tours to see the inside. Very beautiful gardens where you can find a bench in the shade under trees to rest from the warm Spanish @ gargio76
  • A 15th century palace - now the seat of the Valencian Community Government. Worth a visit to check out the old paintings on the wall and the stunning carved ceilings.
  • very nice place
  • Splendid Gothic palace dating back to the late 1400, he was formerly the seat of the City Government, is now the seat of the Council of the Valencian Community. On the side facing the Plaza de la Virgin there is quite small, with lovely citrus trees, flower beds and walkways and some bench to relax.

  • Sober Palace built between the 15th and 16th centuries is today the Palau de la Generalitat and home of the Presidencia de la Generalitat Valenciana. Inside you can see the Salón Dorado large or "studies Daurat" with a beautiful golden ceiling, the sala Val del Consell, the staircase Room or in the lobby of the building, a spectacular bronze entitled stove; "El infierno de Dante" or "la Bajada de Dante to los infiernos" by Mariano Benlliure of 1899 that draws inspiration from the Divine Comedy and a more recent bronze sculpture representing Jaume I, called the conqueror.

Where to stay in Valencia

The Valencia city center is hugged by a river bed-turned park that leads down to the City of Arts and Sciences and harbor area. Stay along the river to be no more than a pleasant stroll away from some of the main neighborhoods and attractions. The popular El Carmen neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is known for its bohemian atmosphere and historical architecture, making it a popular area for daytime tourism and lively nightlife. For a selection of newer hotels and well-known shops, you can opt to stay in the city's commercial district of Colon Street, only a short walk from the old center and well-connected by the metro. For a laid-back, sun-filled retreat, El Cabanyal is a quiet residential neighborhood near the city's main beach.
