Where to stay in Valencia

The Valencia city center is hugged by a river bed-turned park that leads down to the City of Arts and Sciences and harbor area. Stay along the river to be no more than a pleasant stroll away from some of the main neighborhoods and attractions. The popular El Carmen neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is known for its bohemian atmosphere and historical architecture, making it a popular area for daytime tourism and lively nightlife. For a selection of newer hotels and well-known shops, you can opt to stay in the city's commercial district of Colon Street, only a short walk from the old center and well-connected by the metro. For a laid-back, sun-filled retreat, El Cabanyal is a quiet residential neighborhood near the city's main beach.

  • Me and my boyfriend we spent nearly a whole day (4-5 hours). They even have lockers to put your suitcase. Reasonable price of canteen located inside as well. My favorite is butterflies house! I never visited a butterflies house with real butterfly flying around you. Secondly was dolphins shows and beluga house. The 4D cinema was a scam. Very disappointed no substitute in English. If I could be given the chance, I can write a better film than that. Still, in conclusion, very pretty paths and every thing is Cozy. Love the place in general!
  • Very nicely done, with lots of different paths to go from one venue to the next. Good infrastructure, easy accessible even with a small child and stroller! We were there in low season and it was perfect! I don' t want to know how it is in high season, as the staff at the information booth, at the bar and in the restaurant was disorganized and slow. Be aware of the food! I rarely ate so bad before! Awful noodles (made with ketchup?), cold and in old oil fried fries, way too long cooked swordfish and no taste to any of it!!! Bring your own, if you can, or buy some chips from the store. It' better and cheaper!
  • Worth visiting place. It's not as big as I thought but there are so many things to see and to enjoy the atmosphere there. Better to check the timetable untill when it's open. It's good to have enough time (3-4hours). There is a parking place near to the entrance for 6€. There is a restaurant and some bars but the prices are very high, better to take bottle of watter with you especially during summer time. Wheel chair accessible.
  • Great place with a very nice dolphin show. Very busy during the holidays, be prepared to stand in line for everything, entrance - getting into different exhibits(when you are already inside) - getting drinks/food, etc. Probably a lot better in regular weekdays. A tip is to buy a ticket online, we bought it on the phone outside and walked right in. 4D Cinema was fun. Easy to get parking.
  • wonderful day spent here. could have spent longer. personal highlight was the jellyfish. could easily spend more time here.
