L’Iber, Museo de los Soldaditos de Plomo, Valencia

Specialty Museum
One man's obsessive toy collection eventually became L’Iber, Museo de los Soldaditos de Plomo, where over 85,000 tiny toy soldiers are arranged in elaborate displays. These figurines are not child's play, displayed in scenes recreating battles from the Napoleonic Wars, the procession of Corpus Christi, and the Battle of Almansa. The details in each miniature are such that even the fabric of the clothes seem to be blowing in the wind. Located next to the Cathedral of Valencia, the museum makes an attractive addition to the neighborhood’s romantic streets. • We were unaware completely the existence of this museum but encouraged by their good reviews we encourage you to discover it and we were pleasantly surprised. The entrance costs 5 euros but by 1'20 euros you can hire a guide that makes you a visit express 15 minutes telling you the history of the Museum and teaching you his most characteristic figures so you then discover it on your own. There are more than 90,000 soldiers exposed with a multitude of recreation. Without a doubt visit obliged if you come from Valencia.

  • Since childhood I have painted plastic soldiers and I mounted my small scale models, so when I found out that there was this Museum had desires to see you. It does not disappoint nothing, there are plenty of models or dioramas, with about 90,000 pieces from a collection of over 1,000,000 parts in stock. I love, and if you go with children, I am sure that you will love. Maybe somewhat expensive, 5 euros, but clear depends on a foundation and not the City Council. It is very close to the Plaza de la Virgen, in the street of the Knights, near the Basilica of Saint Nicholas. Central area full of terraces. Very interesting to spend a good zato.

  • The Valencia´s Tin Soldiers' Museum is an excellent display of craftmanship and a really pleasant way to review World, European and local history. Located at the very centre of Valencia city center, it really is a very enjoyable exhibition that I would recommend for all ages.
  • A very nice play to see and enjoy. Highly recommended for those who want to learn something new in a very different and interesting way. Everything is there! You know when you go in, but you never know when you will go out! there are a lot of enjoyable small treasures and details. Really good job!
