Specialty Museum Museum
One man's obsessive toy collection eventually became L’Iber, Museo de los Soldaditos de Plomo, where over 85,000 tiny toy soldiers are arranged in elaborate displays. These figurines are not child's play, displayed in scenes recreating battles from the Napoleonic Wars, the procession of Corpus Christi, and the Battle of Almansa. The details in each miniature are such that even the fabric of the clothes seem to be blowing in the wind. Located next to the Cathedral of Valencia, the museum makes an attractive addition to the neighborhood’s romantic streets. Where to stay in Valencia

The Valencia city center is hugged by a river bed-turned park that leads down to the City of Arts and Sciences and harbor area. Stay along the river to be no more than a pleasant stroll away from some of the main neighborhoods and attractions. The popular El Carmen neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is known for its bohemian atmosphere and historical architecture, making it a popular area for daytime tourism and lively nightlife. For a selection of newer hotels and well-known shops, you can opt to stay in the city's commercial district of Colon Street, only a short walk from the old center and well-connected by the metro. For a laid-back, sun-filled retreat, El Cabanyal is a quiet residential neighborhood near the city's main beach.

  • The biggest Toy Soldier and military miniatures museum in the world, and a cultural center for Valencia and Spain, incluiding its book presentations , historical conferences and literary writing workshop.
  • The largest collection of historical miniatures in the world housed in a 15th Century palace. L'Iber, Museo de los Soldaditos de Plomo is an impressive museum in the center of the city where History and heritage meet as well as one of the cultural life centers of Valencia. Both children and adults will enjoy an unforgettable journey through History throughout their halls.
  • The Valencia´s Tin Soldiers' Museum is an excellent display of craftmanship and a really pleasant way to review World, European and local history. Located at the very centre of Valencia city center, it really is a very enjoyable exhibition that I would recommend for all ages.
  • A very nice play to see and enjoy. Highly recommended for those who want to learn something new in a very different and interesting way. Everything is there! You know when you go in, but you never know when you will go out! there are a lot of enjoyable small treasures and details. Really good job!
  • Interesting, well maintained, original, informative, polite staff. Worth a visit.
