Beginning as a medical herb garden in the early 16th century, the Jardin Botanico has a history intertwined with that of Valencia and the nearby university. Expect to see many varieties of plants; nearly everything that can survive in this climate is represented. Keep an eye out for friendly cats, which are welcome, but feral.   • If you want to spend a few hours relaxing, comes into this place! You will be enthralled by the Majesty of the species present, some never seen even in other botanical gardens.

  • not ostentatious but perfectly maintained. It is true that the explanations in English at least would be welcome. See also for the architecture of greenhouses

  • Make sense to visit on Sunday, when is free entrance. Great for cat lovers, there are about 12 of them living in garden and are more friendly than street cats.
  • Wonderful botanical garden, very rich in plants, a place where you might spend some spare time and feel great!
  • Good to visit on a hot day, you'll waste no more than an hour to visit it.
  • Cooling place. Plenty to see. Good place for resting from the city.
  • Green oasis down town Valencia. Big variaty of plants from all over the world.
