Gulliver, Valencia

4.2
#2 of 52 in Fun & Games in Valencian Country
Playground Fun & Games
Inspired by the legendary book “Gulliver’s Travels,” Gulliver features a 70-m (230-ft) sculpture of a reclining Gulliver, which you can walk on and explore. Ramps, stairs, and slides integrated into the sculpture provide access, and a platform grants views of the playground's design from above. Some of the slides are high and steep, which might not be suitable for smaller children. Put Gulliver at the forefront of your travel plans using our Valencia itinerary builder.

Where to stay in Valencia

The Valencia city center is hugged by a river bed-turned park that leads down to the City of Arts and Sciences and harbor area. Stay along the river to be no more than a pleasant stroll away from some of the main neighborhoods and attractions. The popular El Carmen neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is known for its bohemian atmosphere and historical architecture, making it a popular area for daytime tourism and lively nightlife. For a selection of newer hotels and well-known shops, you can opt to stay in the city's commercial district of Colon Street, only a short walk from the old center and well-connected by the metro. For a laid-back, sun-filled retreat, El Cabanyal is a quiet residential neighborhood near the city's main beach.

  • Do take your kids to Gulliver as they will love this creatively designed playground full of slides. It is free, it will make kids happy for an hour or so, and it will allow you to read up on the rest ...  more »
  • This is a fantastic playground for kids to explore Gaudi style architecture the fun way!!! Adults as well ;) and it's possible to go in and have fun while keeping your kid safe. Climb, ride, slide and...  more »
  • What city would provide a massive sculpture for children to climb all over? A sculpture of Gulliver designed to be climbed over and folds in clothes to slide down. Hours of fun for kids and the adults...  more »

  • Nice concept for the park structure, in the shape of Gulliver tied down. Free admission and bathroom facilities are relatively okay. Structures are fairly high and climbed at your own risk. Parents should accompany children on it.
  • This is a really great place if you'd like to spend your time reading a book or just relaxing. Place is huge and you are welcome to bring a blanket because there's plenty of space to chill. Don't walk to the west too far as the park gets less interesting the longer you walk.
  • great concept but way to crowdy in the afternoon. adults are using the slides even if not allowed. you can see the park is aging. most important -feels dangerous as kids climb different places unattended
  • Nice park for kids to play. Great slides and adventure for the little ones. Toilets and vending machines on-site.
  • Great place for our son to blow off some steam after a day of sightseeing. A very imaginative and fun play area.
