Fallas Museum, Valencia
(4.3/5 based on 440+ reviews on the web)
Experience a piece of Valencian culture at Fallas Museum, featuring life-size figurines made of cardboard, wood, and plaster. This art form originated with junk thrown out at the end of winter--the owners would dress it up and draw faces on it, and the humorous tradition caught on. The museum displays some of the best pieces, which date back as far as 1934. These days, the figures are brightly painted and resemble caricatures. They often portray political themes, or comment on trends, society, and sexuality. No guides or brochures are offered, but there is a video explaining the history of the figures. • This museum offers the most beautiful figures of the past "Fallas" - a festival that one can only understand if one has seen it. The Museum offers but a good approach and worth a trip, if you are interested in the Spanish culture. For children, it can be entertaining.

  • And a museum where you can admire the various customs of the Festival of Las Fallas they do here in Valencia. And one of the most important holidays of the place and worth going too because it has a negligible cost and more or less in the hour or so you can inspect it.

  • Better to understand the spirit of failures and admire the ninots spared from beginning of 20TH century. Very well organized. The holidays the entrance is free and the rest of the day costs only 2 euros.
