  • The neighborhood itself is a mixture of races and House. Each cas has its history but it rehabilitates the entire environment to be able to stroll through all the streets or Avenue is open to the sea to be able to give another sense.

  • The District of el Cabanyal is located next to the sandy beach. It is an old neighborhood of fishermen, which seems to have been anchored at the time. However, I think that this has played against. While in historical places and towns with charm are grateful that they have maintained intact with the passing of the years, I have the impression that this area has failed to adapt to the new times. Today barely there are charming areas and when you walk around here gives a site somewhat cutrillo and deteriorated image. I think that if years ago they had worked hard to keep the essence of this place, today would have an area with much charm, perfect for a stroll. However, the carelessness and the lack of initiative (both public and private) have abandoned this area of Valencia.

  • The Cabañal is a seaside neighborhood of Valencia, in 1897 called it POBLE NOU sea. In the past there were only barracks. At the end of 1700 there was a fire and burned almost all of the barracks. It was then when built the houses, with Valencian tiles, with beautiful colors and shapes. At the end of 1900 the Mayoress of Valencia decided to pull the houses to extend the Avda Blasco Ibáñez sea. That made to start leaving people in the neighborhood. They began to get squatters and Gypsies, who had not gone to neighbors having these people, they had to leave. It's a shame not to do anything about it. There are zones that scary move and walk. They would have to do cleaning of squatters, to recover their homes owners and restore the glory of the Cabanal. It is still not late

  • The food was good but not great. It was very expensive though we had a deal with 50% discount that made the cost reasonable. I would have been very unhappy to pay full price. The staff were great. It felt like they might have been the owners. Very informative, attentive and helpful. Basically, good quality food that was over priced.
  • Disappointing... Good service and seems authentic but super overpriced. The main dish is also quite bland. Not recommended
  • Since then €3 (each) anchovy is to go to the police station and report. They multiply the price of the cover according to the people you want. Good thing that I didn't do the birthday there. But I get a plate of spicy to €45. A regrettable service, dirty cutlery (think €3 anchovy giving them to buy Fairy). We do not ask bread for fear, since only I had €500 on the account. Up close you door key with the excuse that thus not mob enters them when they certainly make it so you can not rush and view the account. We ask a top of ham, and thankfully that was not them, but I would have had to be washing dishes to pay the Bill (with great care not to break any... imagine that has to cost a dish...). Anyway I was very dissatisfied. If I return some day it will be because he has played me the EuroMillions.

  • Since it is a typical restaurants to eat fish, do not ask for meat. Rib-eye steak dish 20 euros, mediocre beef and a sad, little fitting for such price. Delicious entrees, but with a very high price...

Where to stay in Valencia

The Valencia city center is hugged by a river bed-turned park that leads down to the City of Arts and Sciences and harbor area. Stay along the river to be no more than a pleasant stroll away from some of the main neighborhoods and attractions. The popular El Carmen neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is known for its bohemian atmosphere and historical architecture, making it a popular area for daytime tourism and lively nightlife. For a selection of newer hotels and well-known shops, you can opt to stay in the city's commercial district of Colon Street, only a short walk from the old center and well-connected by the metro. For a laid-back, sun-filled retreat, El Cabanyal is a quiet residential neighborhood near the city's main beach.
