  • Free admission, and single room, so if you're there (just behind the Basilica des Desemparados) you can go in and see. In essence it is an old building (originally Arabic) that was stored grain, now hosts temporary exhibitions of various kinds. That there is currently no struck me particularly, as well as the structure of Arabic retains very little. Take a look at the pictures and you decide:-)

  • The old granary is a fascinating building originating from the 14th century and, in the past, used by the city to store it’s valuable stock of grain. The name derives from the word “Almud” a measureme...  more »
  • As in many other cities in the middle ages, a place where stored grain to produce flour is also enabled and, therefore, the bread of which fed the inhabitants of Valencia. I met this site at the end of the 80s. I want to thank my mother who taught me many of historical pearls that are found in the city. At the time, housed the paleontological museum, which moved to the gardens of nurseries for 27 years (will have to revisit it because) inside a big nave delimited by several arches that can be painted, in old Valencian , testimonies of important shipments of grain ("form") with specification of their origin and the keeper of the premises at the time. With a good camera, had sent photos but with my mobile went rather wrong (come to see him and you make them). This municipal space used currently, as a space for exhibitions of art or any official act or others such as book presentations (for example). Beautiful setting. Wise people. A guided tour, would enrich the truth. The City Council to take note. Have the look because the topic is more than curious.

  • Fantastic tapas. Quirky little traditional tapas bar. Very close to cathedral. Lovely staff, service and food. Best potato bravas!
  • Slow service and not very good food. Disappointing. Would not recommend.
  • Good value lunch menu with several courses. Tasty. Fab interior with wood panelling and original features such as an old barber’s chair.
  • A little hole in the wall spot behind the Plaza de la Virgen. Come here for its paella and a bottle of wine. And the waitress was courteous and made great suggestions.
  • Great place with fresh, amazing food and very friendly people. Would always recommend! Also, a bit off the crowds, which might be nice. The cozy interior adds atmosphere.
