Correos, Valencia

4.5
Come to Correos to send off a few postcards; stay for the rich architectural details. Semicircular arches and double Ionic columns with allegorical figures on top adorn the main entrance, and crests from the provinces in Spain decorate the glass ceiling. Architect Miguel Angel Navarro designed the building, which was completed in 1922. See Correos and all Valencia has to offer by arranging your trip with our Valencia trip itinerary builder site .

  • Beautiful, well maintained building. Definitely worth to enter. Clean and anywhere there is security.

  • The Town Hall square is one of the most charming of the city, primarily by two buildings that make this place so special: the Town Hall and the building of telecommunications. This turn of the century building is a magnificent sign, symbol of the progress of communications at the time of its construction

  • One of the emblematic buildings in Valencia, situated on the square of the Town Hall (Plaza de Ayuntamiento). It is really amazing. Architecture is very beautiful and the sculptures are elegant and so white that it looks as if they are glowing and lighting the surrounding. The interior is glorious and chic. It is still functioning as the Main Post Office, so the entrance is free.
  • Amazing and beautiful building. How I wish my country's post office is half as beautiful as it is.
  • This impressive building with graceful art nouveau decorations. It's noted on the western side of the town hall square. Fascinating both externally and internally, even in the evening! You can not see it because it is the ninth in a point of great passing @gargio76
  • Definitely not the best post office, but the building is just outstanding.
  • Not helpful whatsoever. I tried mailing an artisanal sword out here back to the United States, and they refused to help me. They also said that all the airlines would refuse to accept the sword, and that other mailing offices would refuse it too. They advised me to return it. They were idiots. First of all, I checked all of the airlines, and all of them allow you to bring swords, if and only if it's in a checked bag. Secondly, FedEX, UPS, and DHL are all more than willing to mail the blade back over to the United States, where it won't be confiscated. If you're interested in going, go. The building at least is beautiful. But don't expect anybody there to be helpful... they lack the mental capacity for it.

Where to stay in Valencia

The Valencia city center is hugged by a river bed-turned park that leads down to the City of Arts and Sciences and harbor area. Stay along the river to be no more than a pleasant stroll away from some of the main neighborhoods and attractions. The popular El Carmen neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is known for its bohemian atmosphere and historical architecture, making it a popular area for daytime tourism and lively nightlife. For a selection of newer hotels and well-known shops, you can opt to stay in the city's commercial district of Colon Street, only a short walk from the old center and well-connected by the metro. For a laid-back, sun-filled retreat, El Cabanyal is a quiet residential neighborhood near the city's main beach.
