Basilica de San Vicente Ferrer, Valencia

4.2
Admire the impressive neo-Gothic facade, towers, and ornate interior of Basilica de San Vicente Ferrer, and pay your respects to missionary and logician St. Vincent Ferrer. Ordained as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church, St. Vincent was a Venetian Dominican friar. The basilica was erected in 1906 to commemorate him, and includes a dramatic exterior and interior. Enter to view the stained-glass windows throughout the structure, which pay homage to his work. The church has a Latin cross plan with five naves; the main nave features elegant pointed arches and Corinthian capitals. The facade has two impressive towers, each 39 m (128 ft) in height, with needle-like spires at the top. • This is an early twentieth century neo gothic style basilica built to remember the saint of the same name who was born in Valencia. It's small and close to the Colon Market area and was closed on the ...  more »
  • I like both. One is located in the calle Cirilo Amorós, close to the market of Colon, recoleta and precious, which along with its façade are Palm trees, which is a small garden at his entrance, the other, located in the plaza San Vicente Ferrer, called plaza of the ducks , by a source with ducks and whose mouths are water pipes, located on the central roundabout of square, it is having more reddish bricks. It is located next to the start of the street comedies and the ratchet street of Knights. I know why the photos are both mixed churches as if they were a single. Ludicrous. And it's a shame because I repeat, both are precious

  • 'M not a real Church visitor but if you there anyway for a while then runs along seesaw you inside. For me not a particularly impressive whole. Have no sense of something called nothing but the whole on. Whatever that may be.

  • Neo Gothic church with interesting architecture. The entrance is free of charge, located right next to the Colon Market.
  • A beautiful Basilica on the outside and on the inside. Architecture is the key of its charm.
  • A quiet church where you can enjoy silence and loneliness
  • Spectacular!
  • Saw when going out with the market nearby. Doors were open quite late in the evening (about ten). Inside the beautifully.

Where to stay in Valencia

The Valencia city center is hugged by a river bed-turned park that leads down to the City of Arts and Sciences and harbor area. Stay along the river to be no more than a pleasant stroll away from some of the main neighborhoods and attractions. The popular El Carmen neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is known for its bohemian atmosphere and historical architecture, making it a popular area for daytime tourism and lively nightlife. For a selection of newer hotels and well-known shops, you can opt to stay in the city's commercial district of Colon Street, only a short walk from the old center and well-connected by the metro. For a laid-back, sun-filled retreat, El Cabanyal is a quiet residential neighborhood near the city's main beach.
