Categories: Neighborhoods, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web
The history of Barrio del Carmen dates to the 14th century, but the neighborhood today has a reputation for a bohemian attitude and an array of nightlife options. Many of the refurbished old buildings here house bars, pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Venues put on live music ranging from jazz to rock to reggae. Although the streets form a maze, the neighborhood is compact and therefore easy to explore. Arrange to visit Barrio del Carmen and other attractions in Valencia using our Valencia holiday planner.

  • Historic district of Valencia with a great charm. Numerous monuments dotted around its streets and alleys. Historical elements alternate and mix with the current artistic graffiti. The trade, bars, restaurants, cafes and multiple terraces make very pleasant to stroll through El Carmen
