It is worth visiting it, its history tells us many things concerning the personal history of each one. This is an exceptional, preserved monument almost miracle by the number of wars in which he has participated. A little exaggerated to say that El Escorial of La Mancha, but it is worth. There are guided visits although the audioguides are very detailed. You can eat well in Uclés.

The truth is that it gives joy found with sites as well when you're traveling through Spain. This monastery is well worth stopping to visit the entrance are 4.5 e per person with an audio guide and explains a bit of the history of the place the vaults and ceilings of the various rooms more remarkable with its inner courtyard

This monastery was home to the ancient order of Santiago. It was plundered by Napoleonic troops during the French invasion, and later, was under the Diocese of Cuenca seminar. You can visit for less money with an audioguide. It is worth stopping to see it in detail, especially the outside as you look at the main entrance, on the right, going down stairs. There we can then appreciate the grandeur and beauty of the building, which currently is being restored. It is also important to the main entrance and the central courtyard

  • Outstanding place. The former headquarters of the Santiago military order, where one of the most famous Spanish poets wrote his best poems. Jorge manrique, the poet, is also buried on the monastery. At sunset the views are breathtaking, where you can see all the small village charm. It's a quiet place to enjoy with time. Also, the history of the place is very interesting
  • A magnificent building, occupying a wonderful hilltop position. Sadly, the building and its gardens are in a poor state of repair, with evidence of vandalism and neglect (September, 2015).
  • The only thing pretty that people have. You have to climb a slope that is horrible to get there. The entrance is expensive, not worth a visit it. You take photos of the outside and that's it. They do not let you pass if you arrive 1 hour prior to closing... something absurd.

  • I love this place, is a place quite nice and religious also recommend a lot of people visit this site which I think is wonderful for people around the world who wants to visit. Recommended 100%, the only problem are the audio guides that can get you rolling enough this monument for the rest seems a pleasant and entertaining travel paradise. That is why I think the Ucles monastery should be patrimony of the humanity by Unesco, deserves 🤗😉😊😃😄😁🙂😎
