  • The present museum open-air Hall. Oh, well done, Patricia! Place for the villas could choose)))) Yes, Yes, on a hill overlooking the town and the sea! A sight for sore eyes! But being mercilessly to Roman architecture. We can observe only the remnants of a bygone luxury and fantasize what actually was this housing? ... There are ancient excavations in the old part of the city (not the fortress). Near Hotel "Neptuno". Take a walk, take a look at "okul'tur'tes'"! Pleasant travel!

  • The remains of villas of ancient Rome. Excavations, which can be viewed at any time, very educational.

  • Located on the small hill of Sant Magi, we visit the remains of the Roman villa of Turissa (the latin name of Tossa de Mar): the Vila dels Ametllers (Villa of almonds). Based on the results of the archaeological work done in this field, we know that this village was occupied between the centuries BC II C. and IV of our era. The Vila dels Ametllers, mainly dedicated to the cultivation of the vine and l ' export of wines for mass consumption, it is a classic example of the Roman Mediterranean farming operation. Distributed in different terraces, the base is a rural area consisting of warehouses, oil tanks and a press. Higher, we find rooms with bathrooms paved with mosaics. All well demonstrates the importance of this villa, because it includes a thermal set, a tile, a pool with sculptures and a dining room as well as a fountain.
