  • Puerta del Sol Toledo, dating back to the 14th century, perhaps less well known than that of Madrid, is considered the best Mudéjar door for its strength and harmony. Mudejar art, strictly limited to Spain, is a mix of Christian Arab-inspired elements with embedded style. The largest centers of Mudejar art were Seville, Toledo and Zaragoza. We find in calle Real del Arrabal and was the second door on our route of access to the old town of Toledo.

  • Beautiful gate into the castle at Toledo. Go across the street for a spectacular overlook.
  • It's almost impossible to miss, but this gate alone would warrant detour in any country. And there is so much more to explore behind the city gates ;-)
  • Sun to the sky as would say the castizos, seeking the Km 0

  • After the Bisagra gate, this is the second entry point to the city the Plaza de Zocodover, Toledo neuralgic point road. A little above the door, there are a couple of stores run by Asians where can buy large water bottles for €1. Once inside the city they charged you 1.5 or €2 for the miserable bottle. So do collection in Toledo is very hot.

  • One of the ancient entrance to intramuros doors in Toledo. Climbing from Zocodover hinge door, you find yourself with this immense gate that is kept in a good state of conservation and us approaches to the past of the city of the Tagus.
