  • Very nice to experience that moment the rest if necessary. Juanelo was the architect who designed this kind of barrage that leverages the strength of the River only to win a height of about 100 meters. Built around the year 1500 was to take water from the river Tagus to the Alcazar.

  • This tour bus stop is a prime opportunity to photograph Toledo as a part of Tagus landscape.. Reminiscent of El Greco. The artifice which directed water is ancient and no longer functional"
  • Up to this time the water that is supplied to the city, was made by means of traps, a large Ferris wheel and on the backs of donkeys. All engineering had failed attempts. The gimmick of Juanelo Turriano was one machine hydraulics designed in the 16TH century to climb the water from the river Tajo del Alcazar de Toledo, saving a height of 98 m. He was one of the great inventions of the Renaissance and had a great international popularity. In yotube is can see an animation in 3D of the artifice of Juanelo Turriano (an of the hypothetical solutions). At the universal exhibition in Seville he rebuilt a small scale, to be one of the attractions of the island of la Cartuja, but once the event it was dismantled. Who did a so bright idea?.
