  • Convento de Santa Isabel de los Reyes is one of Toledo's many monasteries, founded in 1477. This exciting building complex is a building of a Moorish palace from 1300-century church Iglesia San Antolin. When I visited the site, only the Church was open. I had or hoped also to see the monastery with its museum. The Church House is a large, Golden altar from 1572 with beautiful reliefs and shapes in wood as well as several smaller side altars. You can buy the Abbey's homemade Marzipan, Praline, etc.

  • To go from the Cathedral Center, perhaps, Cardenal Cisneros Street walk the Callejón Jesús Pozo Amargo Bajada headed west to the Southwest. The distance is 300 meters. Santa Isabel de los Reyes monastery, both built in the 15th century, Mudejar and plateresque-style architectural style.

  • Monastery of St. Isabella the Catholic is located within the historical center, in a pair of lanes South of the Cathedral. For more than a nominal fee, you can visit the Museum of art of the monastery and temple with splendid altarpieces in the plateresque style, as well as relax from the hustle and bustle in the lovely courtyard patio, typical of Toledo.
