Alcantara Bridge, Toledo

(550+ reviews on the web)
Bridge
Enter the old city over Alcantara Bridge, the same bridge the ancient Romans used. Walk across the Tagus River and get excellent views of the city, while enjoying the architecture of the bridge itself. Conveniently, this also happens to be the fastest route into the city from the train station. Declared a national museum in 1921, this bridge is a lasting part of history, as well as a practical means of entering the city. Work out when and for how long to visit Alcantara Bridge and other Toledo attractions using our handy Toledo family vacation planner.

  • One of my favorite places in Spain. I recommend going at night when the spotlights arte lighting up the bridge and the surrounding cliff faces.
  • Great view, but otherwise not much to do. Pass there by foot on the way from/to the train station.
  • You get the best views of the city from tgere, the river is amazing, very historic place.
  • Beautiful place. This would make a very romantic and calm place to visit any day of the week! Medieval architecture that would totally make you see different every movie you see about medieval times!
  • A beautiful fortified bridge. There are people there who offer the opportunity to do snapling from the bridge to the river for several euros.
