  • Being invited to the private residence of a nobel prize for literature! a chance that is experienced as a special privilege. The deliberate choice of this visit is a success: small group, under the direction of a welcoming and attentive guide, presentation respectful and intimate of this writer with an audio guide offering a text written by the wife of José Saramago. The impression of life always present in this House brings an incomparable richness to these moments. The exceptional path of this humanist scholar gives a remarkable force at this time. The coffee offered at the end of visit brings an additional charm.

  • This is one attraction that deserves much more attention. A wonderful experience. Walked around and just waiting for that Saramago would show up very knowledgeable guide. Wow to drink coffee on the Portuguese Saramagos kitchen.

  • A visit well organized and extensive, to the little House that is displayed (entry, living room, office, kitchen, garden and library) we loved the visit (with two small girls, were 8 and 9 years who also liked). As a lover of books, to see what books there in a House, how are organized and displayed, is almost a Vice. And as well as a great writer, Saramago was a great reader, with an impressive library. The visit consists of two parts. The House where he lived and worked (I loved it; is not very large, certainly not ostentatious. Being a house full of art and culture, and organized to be visited, maintains the essence of cozy home, which gives a very human view of the writer), and the impressive library in the building of to the side (to get to cry... of pure envy). Architecture, the House is a typical construction of Lanzarote, with a garden and magnificent views. And the library is a modern and rational. The guide who accompanied us on the visit lived the visit, you could see that he enjoys and that he admires the writer, becoming - she - in one of the most positive elements of the experience. Other aspects to be highlighted: the House itself, the Portuguese coffee that invited us to cooking and the anecdotes and stories that you know during the tour. On the negative (not remove you star), the € 8 entry (children do not pay) and that it is not easy to find, there are no signs (Competition Council) visit recommended for lovers of literature and the lubros, in general, and Saramago, in particular

  • Absolutely beautiful and addictive. I have been to Lanzarote 3 times and I like everything "fundacion Cesar Manrique"
  • Visit very well guided, we were accompanied by a guy who delighted us with anecdotes and curiosities in each room of the House is what most we liked, the Guide, that without it the House is nice but would not have been the same at all came to us a little character, and we empathize with him we take a coffee in his kitchen my 3 year old son also catered it very seriously and they gave also audio-guide to the US spent a video of a story that was unaware of "The world's largest flower" and a documentary about his life with Pilar. Already in the output we bought the tale on paper and novel essay on lucidity the most wonderful thing for me was to enter his office so close to his desk where he wrote and the immense highly recommended library

  • I do not know. I also felt intrusive, "fisgona" but very very exciting. The figure of Saramago made that I would like to make this visit, while he believed that it was an intrusion.. .and after many doubts, I am satisfied... worth
