Teide Cable Car, Tenerife
Take the cable car to the summit of Spain’s highest mountain, Mount Teide, set in its largest national park. Teide Cable Car takes you on an eight-minute journey to 3,555 m (11,663 ft) above sea level. As you ascend, observe the unusual rock formations and array of colors formed by the mountain, which is an active volcano. Once you reach the summit, marvel at the far-reaching views of the park and island. The upper station serves as the starting point for three popular walking routes. Bring a picnic with you or eat at the cafe located at the lower station. Warm clothes are recommended, as it can be quite cold at high altitude. Not so this time. Excellent 27 € but you get a special moment in return. You could after the elevator you at one point had brought its own running up. Of course I have done this I found this totally awesome. Some pieces have exciting because you had to look good where you ran but a must. You have 2 paths, 1 which I have done and 1 where you have to ask for permission. If you like this sort of thing keeps definitely recommended!show original
The pictures show it all to be honest. There isn't much at the top, nowhere to get a drink. There is some toilets but that's it. Having paid €40.50 for myself and my 8year old, I wouldn't go again - it's a bit expensive in my opinion for what's up there. If there was a restaurant of coffee shop that you could sit in and enjoy the surroundings then fine but as there isn't it's a bit of a waste of money.
Great service to the top of Teide. To climb last 100 m , permission has to be granted by local park. Beautiful views of crater, sea of clouds and other Canary Islands.
Very quick transport up to the top of Teide. Not bad food at the bottom but there is a lack of seating. Also very few spots of shade outside.
There isn't much to see up here, but we don't know about the summit, since you need a special permit to hike up there. Most of the land looks flat, but the safari ride up here with all the overturned volcanic flows looked pretty jagged and wild.
