Punta de Teno, Tenerife

(360+ reviews on the web)
Geologic Formation
Located within a rural park, Punta de Teno shows off many of the island’s tall tabaiba trees. However, accessing this point, which juts out into the water, is a problem. Many drivers ignore the “road closed” sign and take on the rough roads and harrowing ledge along the way. If you venture here, you'll come out of a tunnel in direction of the beaches where you can see a late 19th-century lighthouse. • On the eve of a trip to Tenerife had to wander through the Internet to ensure that the road is open following an extensive renovation. That the consequences of falls/failures have been eliminated. You should immediately notice that now the road to the lighthouse became more comfortable, more secure. And impressions of the visit remained unchanged. It is impossible not to ride on the road, people with whom to begin the fast and the furious-6! Stunning views of the ocean, mountains ... .... Beautiful scenery + exciting feeling from the trip!

  • The last kilometer of the road out to the Lighthouse is a toll road. That is why there are almost no cars, making it an ideal bike ride. You can also take the local bus out there, or hiking. . It runs on a good road, which winds its way high up the hillside and down again to the lighthouse. Truly spectacular. Good asphalt. Note that along the way runs through a long dark tunnel. Here, it is absolutely necessary to have the light on (or be able to handle the flash was on the cell phone while bikes), otherwise it is too dangerous to cycle in almost total darkness. The trip is by virtue of its proximity to the sea a good change of pace from the many bike tours up and down the Teide, like most cycling tourists go.
