Playa de la Arena, Tenerife

(3.8/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
One Tenerife’s few natural beaches, Playa de la Arena makes up in cleanliness and beauty what it lacks in size. This small stretch of sand consistently wins European Blue Flag recognition for excellence. The black sand can get quite hot during summer, so make use of the lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent. When you want a break from the hard work of relaxing by the water, take a stroll to Los Gigantes, a set of cliffs overlooking the water. From here, you'll have commanding views of waves crashing into the rugged coastline. Cafes and restaurants line the beach. • We were 9 days in Tenerife and were almost every day with the car on the road, in the evening, it has then repeatedly driven us on this great beach. The dark sand is great and nice and chewy. The pool attendant / lifeguard takes on its beach and takes care of the sunbeds for rent. and whistles back people who dare for prohibition of bathing in the water or entlangkklettern the cliffs. The water is beautifully clear, however for children already dangerous, since constantly strong current. The beach is very well kept, there is no garbage around.
