Playa de la Arena, Tenerife

(750+ reviews on the web)
Beach
One Tenerife’s few natural beaches, Playa de la Arena makes up in cleanliness and beauty what it lacks in size. This small stretch of sand consistently wins European Blue Flag recognition for excellence. The black sand can get quite hot during summer, so make use of the lounge chairs and umbrellas for rent. When you want a break from the hard work of relaxing by the water, take a stroll to Los Gigantes, a set of cliffs overlooking the water. From here, you'll have commanding views of waves crashing into the rugged coastline. Cafes and restaurants line the beach. Plan your Playa de la Arena visit and explore what else you can see and do in Puerto de Santiago using our Puerto de Santiago trip itinerary maker.

  • Very nice hotel but a little too big, the hall and the Grand reception but the other side of the corridor after the elevator is very ugly, j ' hope they restore this part. I was room 350 great view of the sea and the pool but noisy, you could hear the noise from the corridor and top. Food but I expected better quality. Clean and heated pool except for the little ones. Great fitness room as well as a great teacher (Angela)

  • Beautiful beach, black volcanic sand very pleasant for the feet, stones and rocks and waves of the ocean view. On the day of a lifeguard takes care of security, the evening is lit and separated-do not enter the water. You can relax, though not always enjoy swimming-depending on the time of day and waves-tend to be the prey.
