Pont del Diable
See, and even walk on top of, Pont del Diable, a structure built by the Romans thousands of years ago. Originally designed to bring water to the ancient city of Tárraco (now Tarragona) from the Francolí River, this aqueduct is a lasting example of what the Romans accomplished. Walk along this structure on your own, or take a tour to learn more about its history. Part of the Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco, which was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 2000, this aqueduct is two levels high, reaching a maximum height of 27 m (89 ft) and a length of 249 m (817 ft). Our Tarragona vacation maker tool makes visiting Pont del Diable and other Tarragona attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Incredible place. To see the amazing construction of eons ago is magnificent. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is without a car the bus ride coming back is epically long and winding. As it's on the highway no cabs to be had. Other than that inconvenience its a must see sight in Tarragona.

Nice to see and walk around. Not crowded when I was there in January. So that is a good time if you want to make pictures
-
Well conserved, nice scenery and good accessibility. It's free as well as the parking. There is little reason not to go have a look.
-
Take the bus from town and it's an hour's walk around the site and back. The cafe was closed in late September but the weather hot, so take water. The return bus picks you up at the same stop: avoid 3-4pm. Our bus was packed with kids and the journey continues into the suburbs before finally returning to town.

A well maintained ancient relic. You can walk on top of it, a testament to the construction that 2000+ years later this structure can still take you to be heights
