  • The Forum of the colony of Tarragona, is the space where the commercial and administrative affairs of the Roman city were carried out. The set consists of two zones separated by the Soler Street and joined together by a metallic bridge over the street. In the first area, is located the basilica legal, a grandstand and remains of houses earlier; While in the second area, is part of the Capitol, remains of a square and an islet of houses partially surrounded by streets, one of them paved. The central building of the Forum consists of a rectangular square of 58 x 12.5 m; to its around a porch opens with columns of 6.10 meters high. It is one of the locations of the heritage place. Declared well Cultural of interest national.

  • Amazing that this has survived with a road through the middle and buildings all around. One can stand there and imagine what it, and Tarragona, must have been like in Roman times. Worth a visit.  more »
