Circ Roma, Tarragona
Categories: Ruins, Historic Sites, Tourist Spots
Circ Roma once offered the most popular mass spectacle of its time: chariot races. Modern Tarragona was built on top of many such ruins. In the first century, this one formed part of a monumental complex. It measures 325 x 115 m (1060 x 380 ft), much of which remains well preserved. Climb up the tower for a great view of the city, and check out the museum and underground tunnels. See Circ Roma and all Tarragona has to offer by arranging your trip with our Tarragona itinerary planner.
