  • Visit more than obliged, Interior advise guided... If you can see the perfect Bell is a view of 360 ° of Tarragona since it is the more high in the city. Stroll the cloister or hear an organ concert recently repaired is impressive. The midnight mass in December is a good excuse so that it can hear.

  • The main medieval landmark. Open after a recent restoration. Entrance 5 euros. Together with the ticket give reminder with the plan of survey in multiple languages. Optional audioguide for € 2. To visit are open: the Interior of the Cathedral, cloister (courtyard), the Treasury and the Diocesan Museum. Don't expect to see such a huge temple complex. Examined it more hours almost completely alone, visitors to the unit. Especially impressed with the Diocesan Museum with medieval murals, altars, sculptures and utensils. Photography is not prohibited. By the way, the best views of the Cathedral from the Tower of Pretoria (admission € 3.30). It is particularly good in the morning, lit by the Sun. Brief historical summary: the construction of the Cathedral began in the 12 century on top of a hill, on the site of an old Roman temple. It was consecrated in 1331 year.

  • Muy bien cuidada
  • Superb place. Very impressive
  • A wonderfully preserved piece of history!
  • A wonderful history is told through these walls. The cathedral was built for so long that it mixes several styles, and while it's a bit of a mess, I like it
  • "L'ou com balla (literally as a dancing egg) is a tradition whose peninsular origin is located in the city of Barcelona and takes place the day of Corpus. Its origins or its symbols are not exactly determined, but he is believed to held from 1637 and is to make dance an egg on the suppliers of the sources located in cloisters, courtyards or gardens. It visually represents the Eucharist on the day of the Corpus. Egg white as the sacred way, rises on the flowers of the supplier. And in a second interpretation represents the ad by the fullness of spring, the egg represents fertility, life that is reborn. Whole an empty egg shell, is placed in the spout of a source so that it rotates without falling off. The sources are decorated with flowers and fruits. It is a beautiful tradition of the day of Corpus, and is seen in many towns and villages in Catalonia L´ou com balla of the cloister of the Cathedral of Tarragona, on the day of Corpus
