  • Metropolitan Basilica Cathedral and Santa key Primada, known as Tarragona Cathedral, is a Cathedral built in the Gothic style early. Is is situated in the part more high of the city, on a place that already occupied with previously a temple dedicated to the cult imperial Roman, a cathedral Visigothic and a mosque Arabic. In its State current corresponds to the period of transition between the Romanesque and the Gothic. It seems that the building comes from the beginning of the 12th century. On April 3, 1905 it was declared a national monument. It has a majestic access through stairs accessing the Pla de la Seu and subsequently a wide façade with many sculptures. Inside there are large spaces, with many chapels, works of art, faculty, etc. Absolutely recommended to admire its architecture and history.

  • €5 is not cheap, but there is so much to do. A beautiful cloister with garden, a Museum of relics and the Cathedral itself.

  • Muy bien cuidada
  • Superb place. Very impressive
  • A wonderfully preserved piece of history!
  • A wonderful history is told through these walls. The cathedral was built for so long that it mixes several styles, and while it's a bit of a mess, I like it
  • "L'ou com balla (literally as a dancing egg) is a tradition whose peninsular origin is located in the city of Barcelona and takes place the day of Corpus. Its origins or its symbols are not exactly determined, but he is believed to held from 1637 and is to make dance an egg on the suppliers of the sources located in cloisters, courtyards or gardens. It visually represents the Eucharist on the day of the Corpus. Egg white as the sacred way, rises on the flowers of the supplier. And in a second interpretation represents the ad by the fullness of spring, the egg represents fertility, life that is reborn. Whole an empty egg shell, is placed in the spout of a source so that it rotates without falling off. The sources are decorated with flowers and fruits. It is a beautiful tradition of the day of Corpus, and is seen in many towns and villages in Catalonia L´ou com balla of the cloister of the Cathedral of Tarragona, on the day of Corpus
