  • Cultural heritage, this city is linked from the 15TH century to ceramics, evolving for periods due to the influence of different artists, going through times of splendor (19TH and 20TH centuries), but maintaining signs of identity that characterizes it. (see opinion about Ruiz de Luna ceramics Museum). Form part of a culture Spanish that is distinguished to level world and served of model to other craftsmen-artists of other nationalities. The Avenue main of access to Talavera is a prelude of what we are going to discover touring to foot this beautiful city gem of the art in ceramic. A wide Avenue with trees felled in symmetrically on both sides, cleaning and general order. It should be left in car in a parking lot on the Costanera round the Canillo (bordering the Tagus River)(público de pago) and walk through this beautiful city. Fortress, Roman city came to have 3 walled enclosures, today there are remains of the city walls, towers and gates. Unmissable visit: 1) Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Prado, patron saint of the town (proudly known as the Sistine Chapel of the ceramics) 2) parish of San Francisco (see famous Via crucis in Francisco Arroyo ceramic) 3) bread square, the Town Hall (in this last will get brochures of flat and tourist attractions of the city) and opposite the Victoria Theatre. (4) Theatre Palenque located in old church of Jesuits. Facade with ceramics Ruis Moon and gravel. (5) Museum of the ceramic RUIZ de LUNA (a true story of the evolution of this genius ceramics). Missed this visit.

  • After latest improvements by the City Council and the opening of bars and restaurants and algunps handicraft shops, it has given a very good change. It is worth to walk it, it has regained life.

  • Although this a bit globalized (same stores everywhere) Center. It is interesting to explore the remains of its walls and fortress. Imperesionantes stone arches and adequate maintenance and organization of the visit.
