The path is signposted by milestones yellow not to be missed. Once upstairs is a plain so it is easier to walk through the village. The wall, Sanctuary, the sauna and the quarries is better preserved, there are rebuilt the foundations of some houses, was one of the forts of Europe's largest Celtic but we need to read the explanatory panels and take imagination to become a bit to the idea, if they seem not only to four badly placed stones. Views from the top to the Valley of Gredos if they are worth. If you are visiting in summer I recommend carrying plenty of water and sunscreen, because there is no shade.

I do not recommend doing in summer, because there is no shade. Once up, the views are great, there are explanatory posters that help make you a idea of the life of the castros there 25 centuries ago. Not expect monuments, there are only a couple of houses that have rebuilt the foundations to appreciate its form, the carved altar in stone, some of the wall, and the quarry, but the site has great charm. At least a couple of hours between which you upload, enjoy the site and low. I think an interesting site, unveiled, a pity that they have not made further excavations, and rebuilt somewhat to make it more didactic.

It is a must-see if you're in the area. The castro is easily accessible and it takes 45 minutes to reach the top (1,500 meters). What impressed me most were the sights, the wall and the "forge", perfectly preserved. The landscape is amazing 360 degree views where you can see the entire Valley and the mountains of the sierra de Gredos.
