  • This monastery at its inception was Benedictine and then of the disentailment became the Cistercian order. It stands out for its large size and its sobriety. It has three cloisters and the Church is large, with a stunning thick walls that if covered with MOSS. Here is more showing the State of "carelessness" of the monastery. Through the arc of the medallions, highly decorated, we reach the kitchen with an interesting ribbed Vault. It's worth a visit to continue discovering each one of the rooms that make up this monastery 60/70 km from Santiago. It is passage of pilgrims.

  • This monastery is still in operation and cloisters, the Church, the Chapter House, the staircase and different rooms you can visit. It has a shop and Inn. It is on the Camino de Santiago.

  • Cloisters, room chapter, kitchen are magnificent but, what more me impressed was the Church, empty except for them banks, its acoustic and the dependencies attached.

  • Singular
  • The beautiful monastery, magnificent treatment of the monks. The common rooms with people who snore as if they were to die in the next half minute, that almost subtracted all of the above. Good choice for the Pilgrim.

  • Very nice monastery. Part of the monastery was converted into a Hostel for pilgrims. The Church is Deconsecrated and is no longer used and has many signs of aging, mosses, seeping water, herbs and shrubs growing on the walls .... ... The part allocated to albergue was cleaned up and fixed. I heard it is undergoing restoration. I hope so because the place is very nice ... but you're downgrading a bit too. As part Albergue (Hostel) is very big. and if it weren't for the moisture would say is also very nice. Being in a monastery has a curiosity that if you enter in the morning, then from 14 (or perhaps 14.30) to 16 (or 16.30) the monastery closed preventing any entrance or exit from it.

  • Beautiful unfortunate that this clean mildew and moisture by painting walls will be lost. A beauty so decorated walls wishing that they cleaned them to see also a great beauty.
