  • Province of Barcelone.Magnifique place where all the white houses Feast your eyes! Beautiful beaches of white sand and nice big creeks. A small bucolic seaside road connects two beaches. Very nice relaxing time. And to finish the ride last refresh your feet in the sand! That day, the sea was infested with purple jellyfish... Maybe not the place to put this comment, but I found no wellness! To know.

  • Not at all open at the reported business hours. Time and money wasted.
  • The massif of Garraf was millions of years ago the bottom of ancestral, prolific and huge sea, where thousands of living fossils inhabited waters predestined to the telluric cataclysm. Less millions of years later, that Fund grew out of the sea until bowing in what today is known as "El Garraf", a massive coastline of limestone and rock where sits Viladellops and where the remains of those molluscs have been embedded in a land that is now mountain and vineyard. We went down to the vineyards where they make Viladellops wines the Grenache, the Xarel.los and the "Turó de les Abelles". Marcello explains: "Viladellops tries to maintain the ecological balance that allows you to produce some good wines, within the best oenological tradition". The vineyards are manicured. Given the proximity of the sea, they are carefully pruned to allow maximum ventilation and prevent diseases that could lead to a damp and salt wind. Controlling the vigor of the plant is synonym of good wines, because that same sea wind has much to do in the final quality of the wine. Finca Viladellops is Celler wines since 1877, time in which the attack by the phylloxera in France was that Spanish wines were exported in large quantities to the rest of Europe. In 1,999 recover native varieties, the xarel-Lo and Grenache and replant the vineyards taking care of its distribution. The Garnacha grapes on the slopes, the Xarel.los in separate farms. Style little land to keep the intact ecosystem and yield plots for cultivation of fodder for the manure that will produce animals fed with it. Anyway, they are wines of "terroir" where soil, climate and grape form part of an integral whole.Marcello gave us to try all of their wines, from the simplest to the most elaborate. All seemed great, but if we had to bet on one of them, us us down with the xarel-Lo XXX, a blend of grapes xarel-Lo 100% sourced from three different vineyards, vinified separately and together at the end to create a fresh, elegant wine and exquisitely long. A real pleasure. If you have the opportunity to go or pass near Viladellops get close up to the Celler. You will always be well received and treated.

  • exceptional wines!
  • Spectacular red wines, especially for being in the Penedès region, where there is a long tradition of black.
